Richard Hoffman is the owner of multiple freestanding outpatient physical therapy practices and manages physician based physical therapy practices throughout Florida, including Advantage Medical (AM), Superior Rehab Systems, and Med Diagnostic Rehab of South Florida.  In addition, his consulting firm performs revenue cycle management and administration in 43 states across the country for over 800 therapy providers. A former pitcher with the St. Louis Cardinals organization, Mr. Hoffman sustained a shoulder injury, wherein he had his first encounter with Physical Therapy. He found the field very rewarding and became a licensed therapist himself. In addition to his therapy degree from Miami Dade, Mr. Hoffman has a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing with a minor in Finance from Long Island University, Brooklyn, New York and a Masters degree in Health Science Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Davie, Florida and a second Masters degree in Management from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Michelle Santomassino is a nurse practitioner with a clinical doctorate degree whose work is centered around reducing hospital readmission rates, improving patient satisfaction and addressing gaps in patients’ health care.  She has held an RN license for 20 years and a FNP license for 14 years.  Most of her career has focused on the acute care setting.  For the past 3 years she has taken on the role of Clinical Team Manager for a leading health care company’s House Calls Program.   She leads a team of Nurse Practitioners who complete comprehensive well visits in the homes of high-risk patients.  The goal is to identify and address gaps in care and avoid hospital re-admissions.  Over the course of the past three years she has researched and incorporated Transitional Care into her clinical practice.  Her total joint to outpatient model is based on evidence-based and protocol driven practices that Dr. Santomassino has researched over the years.  

Dr. David Szmiga began his professional education at the University of Florida in which he graduated with a Bachelors of Science with a Specialization in Athletic Training. He became certified as an Athletic Trainer and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. At the University of Florida, he had the wonderful experience working with the Miami Marlins professional Baseball Team, University Athletics, high school and college athletes, and a physical therapy clinic. Dr. Szmiga decided to further his education at the University of St. Augustine where he graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The University of St. Augustine specializes in Orthopedics and Manual Therapy with an emphasis on Assessment and Treatment of the spine. After graduation, Dr. Szmiga returned to South Florida where he was born and raised to begin his career at MDR Rehab in Delray.  After about one year of working, he returned to the University of St. Augustine to further his knowledge and to take the extensive testing of the Manual Therapy Certification. He never stops his learning in order to help as many people as possible. He took additional courses to become Pilates Certified and a Performance Enhancement Specialist. Dr. Szmiga's goal as a Regional Manager and Physical Therapist is to provide optimal patient care in a professional, friendly, and fun environment. 

Dr. Ricardo Atti Dr. Atti graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, Davie, Florida in 2014. Dr. Atti is a former collegiate Soccer player. During his days playing competitive soccer, He endured various injuries resulting in many hours receiving physical therapy. He believes his injuries are a great tool to help him relate to patients and better guide them thru the road to recovery.

Dr. Atti is trilingual ,fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Outside of work, Ricardo plays soccer weekly and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
